Tra la la

Yeah, I've probably used that title somewhere. Oh freaking well.

So, as asked by Nicki T. in my last post: What am I currently working on now that Outcasts is finished? And what is Soul of Fire about?

I love those kind of questions. :)

Well, I'm working on Soul of Fire a TON, because my ninja urges me to do so. And it's the highlight of his night, so who am I to deny him?! Anyhow, I'm hesitant to post some of it, due to the fact that I want to finish it before I show a mass amount of people.

Soul of Fire:

The story starts off with Ryia falling off a cliff, to put it bluntly. She (in dragon form) is then taken in the care of a group of dragons. Meet Xeon, Hinky, Girnio, Ginny, Gareth, and Nanua.

Xeon: black dragon with blue eyes. Playful and yet serious at the same time. Looks after Hinky most of the time. No type.

Hinky: small smoky red she-dragon with green eyes. Rarely talks, shy, but is extremely affectionate of Ryia and Xeon. No type.

Girnio: blue speckled dragon with yellow eyes (you know him!!!). The writer dragon.

Ginny: Orange she dragon, green eyes. Fiery attitude. Mediation dragon.

Gareth: Huge black dragon with pale eyes. Currently you don't know what type of dragon he is.

Nanua: Creamy-white she-dragon with stormy gray eyes. Grumpy most of the time. Healer dragon.

So, eventually Ryia realizes she's lost her memories. Throughout adventures in the forest she figures out she used to be human, and also a servant in a palace. Her and her friends travel to find her lost memories.

Somewhere in there they are threatened by the Kriqu, a race of beasts that thrive to kill humans. They frequently attack Ryia, even in dragon form, because they still sense she is human.

It's a bit complex to explain, so if you didn't understand, I'm sorry.

Burned

*flicks my hand repeatedly* I sorta know what addictions are like now. I got burned today (long story...) and I've become addicted to ice packs. It KILLS taking the ice off though. So right now I'm trying to brave it without the ice pack....it's working so far..........

So, about Outcasts. Well, yeah. It was getting way out of hand. I love the story/idea/characters, but it was getting way too much for me to handle. Besides I'm trying to accomplish something with Soul of Fire (which I am not posting due to secrecy reasons XD ).

OOOOOOOHHHH. My finger KILLS. Note to self: being burned, not good.

Signed with an aching thumb,

Contest

Short story contest! I'll be using a sneak peek of my story Soul of Fire, dedicated to my ninja. I hope you enjoy! *elegant bow*

“You just hate me, don’t you?”
Ryia paused by the door with clean linen sheets from the laundry folded in her arms, the voice just loud enough for her to hear. The door led to King Jaqu’s chambers, and since the voice wasn’t Lady VinilĂ©’s Ryia could only assume it was one of his many maids that he slept with. Her lip curled in disgust and she nearly snarled. Did the maids really think that someone who cheated on his wife would be faithful to them?
“Of course I don’t hate you, my flower,” King Jaqu’s silky voice replied. Ryia moved closer to the door, holding the white sheets closer to her breast and curious to listen. She winced, as there was a shriek and a crash of something breaking.
“You liar! Then why is it you always go around sleeping with other women, breaking hearts?” There was a short pause. “You break my heart.”
Footsteps thudded loudly, and Ryia jumped back just in time before the door burst open. Instead of the ditzy maid Ryia expected, Fyciah stuttered to a halt before her, tears shining in her emerald green eyes. Upon seeing Ryia, a strangled sob escaped from the young girl’s throat and she flung herself into Ryia’s arms. In response, Ryia dropped the clean sheets onto the ground and held the child close to her.
King Jaqu followed his daughter. It was the first time in a long while that Ryia had seen him, and he looked no less than he had before. His handsome blonde hair was swept back in an almost careless manor, and his sturdy jaw was rigid. He glared at Ryia through glassy blue eyes, similar to Heron’s playful ones. If he had looked at her like that a month or so ago, her heart would have broke with shame, but now she glared back.
“She’s just a young girl, what would she know of life,” he said, more to himself than Ryia.
“She would know enough to know that her father should not be cheating on her mother,” Ryia snapped, running a hand through Fyciah’s soft hair. The King scowled at Ryia. Fyciah just kept sobbing and sobbing into Ryia’s shoulder, seeking comfort in the servant girl’s presence.
“And you, Ryialyn Teriti? What do you know of parents,” King Jaqu growled, taking one dangerous step over another.
Her eyes flashed painfully. “Do not vex me, Jaqu.”
“AND DO NOT VEX ME,” the King roared, wrenching Fyciah from Ryia and slammed his open hand into the servant’s face. Her cheek stung terribly, but Ryia steadied her breathing as not to show weakness. “You can never call me by my name alone, you animal! I am the King! King Jaqu!”
“You are also a tyrant! The tyrant who runs around messing about and brandishing his title like it was honorable,” Ryia spat. “You do not deserve the honor that comes with the title ‘King’. You are Tyrant Jaqu to me!”
            “ENOUGH YOU WRETCH. ENOUGH!”
He slammed his fist into the pit of Ryia’s stomach. She heaved and fell to her knees, coughing. While she was on the ground his foot shot out and kicked the side of her face.
“Stop it, Father! Just stop it,” Fyciah cried harder, and yet unable to do anything in her maid’s defense. King Jaqu grabbed a fistful of Ryia’s brown hair and yanked it so that she had to face him. With her neck bent at an awkward angle, Ryia struggled to breathe.
“You wretched cur. You belong on the streets with the rest of your kind,” his breath, reeking of alcohol, burned her face, “call yourself noble? Call yourself brave?” He flung her away from him roughly, shouting, “WORTHLESS. We should have you strung up for your arrogance-”
“Father!” Fyciah stepped in front of Ryia, blocking her from view. “I’ll tell Mother! I’ll tell her you beat Ry again!”
“Again,” the King laughed manically, swaying up to his daughter, “again, little girl?” Suddenly he grabbed her wrists and shoved her into the wall. “Was there a first time,” he whispered angrily into her ear. She bit her lip and screwed her eyes shut, whimpering.
That sealed the deal for Ryia. She jumped to her feet with a strange, new energy, and screamed, “Hands off her, you tyrant!” She chanted string of words rapidly, and King Jaqu dropped to the ground like a puppet whose strings were cut. He moaned and clutched his stomach.
Ryia quickly moved forward and caught Fyciah as she collapsed. She glared at the King.
“Don’t worry, the spell will only effect the alcohol in your stomach. And if you consume alcohol in the next few days you’ll feel even more pain as it enters your body,” she informed the groaning King.
            “W-witch,” he managed to say.
“Nope,” Ryia turned, picked up the discarded sheets, and began to walk away with Fyciah and the sheets in her arms, “just magikal.”

The world is full of.....sticks.

I FOUND. A STICK. I LOVE. MY STICK.

It's a wooden stick.

I am pleased.

So, it's been a day or so since I last posted, and since right now I have free time on my hands, I shall blog. Well, technically,  I still have art homework to do. Yeah I know. "How do you have homework in art?" Well, sketchbook assignments. They suck. Excuse the language if that is considered bad for your personal opinion. But every week we have to do a sketchbook assignment and they usually have nothing to do with what we're doing in class.

Inora and the gang are silent. Surprise surprise.

But as requested, I have drawn up a character sheet, but it'll be a while until I can upload. See, we got a new computer and I don't have a picture downloader thing on the new computer. So I have to use my mom's laptop, transfer my photos from there to a flash drive, then take it to our computer....it's a long process of which I do not care to repeat often.

Off to check blogging and such!

Tons of 'why'

Why can't people accept compliments if the person really and truly means it? Are they so scared to accept a truth that is different from what they've originally known? Why? Why can't people see that they are beautiful people? Why can't they see that no matter how bad they've gotten they are still loved? That they can be forgiven? Can people not see when I mean what I say?

Why is it so hard for people to accept it when I say stuff like 'I think you look really pretty today?' Said that to a friend today and you know what her reply was?

"So I wasn't pretty yesterday?"

Ugh. I wanted to punch her. SORRY if I truly though she looked nice today. Sorry I took the time to compliment her and mean it.

So I just wanted to say that if people compliment you, please don't do that and be sarcastic about it. Say thank you. ACCEPT IT.

I think every single one of my friends are pretty and lovely people. It's just something where I see the best in everyone. And I love giving compliments.

If only people accepted them.

Icewolf's chosen pen name

So, for a while I've been pondering a pen name for myself and behold! Tis accomplished. I have found one I am most proud of. *drum roll*

STEPHANIE SKY

HA.

See, Stephanie is a great name, and is also the name of my old english teacher who gave me much support with writing my stories. And Sky because I've always wanted to fly.

Stephanie Sky.

Ha.

I'm so excited. :D

Via Boredom

It means no worries, for the rest of your daaaaayyysss....

Yeah, in drama class we're doing a musical unit, and my group is doing Lion King, Hakuna Matata. And I *bows* am Timon. Suspending our disbelief (as my old english teacher would say), despite the fact that Timon is a guy, I'm still willingly playing the role. The movie/script is something everyone knows, so I'm hoping there will be no complications with memorizing.

*leans back in my chair* I know the issue about the ICF has come and passed, and I'm sorry we didn't do anything for it. Shimmer doesn't seem like she'll be coming back, but I still want to give a brief spotlight on Inora. He's been such a wonderful character.

Inora: You mean, the only character would put up with you
Icewolf: Oh shush, you. Just because you're on holiday doesn't mean -
Inora: Holiday?! Is that what you're calling it now? Just admit it will you? Outcasts is over. It failed.
Icewolf: *winces* It didn't fail.
Inora: Did.
Icewolf: It was too many books in the series! I couldn't uphold it! Even if I had shortened it, it would still have been too much! *whimpers* I'm so sorry.
Inora: Stop apologizing. At least I'm still alive. *presses hands to his forehead to suppress a headache*
Icewolf: *to bloggers* Usually when I drop a story the characters fade away. But I'm planning on using this lump of fur again *nudges Inora* for future stories.
Tamiki: Don't worry, Inny! It isn't as bad as you think! Look at me!
Inora: I'm seeing you.
Tamiki: I'm a walking fail! *laughs lightly* I've already been in about 3 stories, all of which were discontinued!
Inora: *mutters* You're a walking fail all right...
Icewolf: So yeah, Inora's in somewhat of a shock. It's new for him.
Tamiki: Don't be such a worry-wart!
Inora: Shut up before I kill you.
Icewolf: *sighs happily* How I missed you guys.
Akov: *hanging from a tree by his legs, arms folded across his chest* So, are we done with the annoyances yet?
Inora: *leaping to his feet* Are you saying I'm an annoyance?!
Icewolf: INORA! CALM DOWN.
Inora: *stunned*
Tamiki: *laughs* Inny, you got to figure out your place.
Crystal: Yeah, cause you're definitely below my ranking *drapes and arm over Inora's shoulder*
Inora: *bristling, but trying to stay calm*
Icewolf: Eh heh heh....*takes Inora's hand and pulls him away from Crystal* *he un-tenses, but still hostile* *lets go of Inora's hand, worried of his temper* Maybe I should end this....
Inora: *wolf ears flick in annoyance*
Icewolf: That's all for now blogworld! ;) *click*

Eyeh

You know what is energy-consuming? Dirt. You know why? A bunch of dirt in a wheelbarrow is hard to move places. Also, doing that same action numerous times tends to have an effect on your limbs and body.

Basically, Icewolf has been carting dirt all day after school. My arms feel really heavy and the expression on my face is one of a dope's. And so I'm screwing homework for a while to just let myself, you know, relax via computer.

Which is sorta weird when you think about it. I don't know why, it just is.

So I saw some new followers! Welcome!!! I'm surprised you found meh in my time of absence, but no worries! :D

Recently, I have let Outcasts sorta settle down and decided to work on something else called Soul of Fire. It's about dragons. Surprise, huh? XD Anyway, I'm planning on keeping this one a secret for the most part because I think this one has a good chance of getting published. So for safety reasons, I shall not. So far though, I have about 50 pages or more, so I'm hoping to at least triple that.

Ugh, tired. I'm off to catch up on posts.

Signed with blank stares,
Icewolf

*blushes with shame*

Sorry guys, I know I've been out of touch. A lot. Like a looooot. So I'm sorry about that!

I was going through the web, bored, and wanted to read up on my old posts and saw that my last one had gotten 10 comments. *wolf ears flick in surprise* I was actually shocked. I didn't remember ever getting that many in a while, so I checked it out. And now I feel guilty...XD

But for some reason, it feels good to be back, you know? So you can count on more posts!

And yeah, I think Shimmer isn't really going to post anymore. But you never know, right? To me though, it seems like she's left us.

OH! I hope I haven't lost any followers while I was awAY. Anyhow, later blogworld!
